The police administration has reshuffled some of its Director Generals and filled the vacant position of Deputy Inspector General of Police (IGP) in the Command Structure.
Graphic Online has gathered that the current Director General of Administration, Commissioner of Police (COP), Mr Oppong Boanuh has been appointed as the new Deputy IGP.
The Deputy IGP position which is part of the Police Service Regulations under C.I. 76, has been vacant for many years.
Since the last Deputy IGP, Mohammed Alhassan was promoted as IGP, the Deputy IGP position has continued to remain vacant until now.
Information Graphic Online has picked up indicates that other Director Generals who have been reshuffled are COP, Mr Prosper K. Agblorh, who is moving to Legal and Prosecution as Director General.
COP, Mr Nathan Kofi Boakye is moving from the PIPS to Research and Planning as Director General whilst COP, Dr George Akuffo Dampare is moving to Welfare as Director General.
COP Mr Christian Tetteh Yohuno is heading to the MTTD while COP Beatrice Vib-Sanzuri goes to PIPS.
Others are COP, Mr Yaagy Akuribah for National Patrol Department and COP, MrNenyi Ampah-Bennin for Special Duties.
COP Mr Maxwell Sakipasgo Atingane is now Commandant, GPCSC whilst COP, Mr Isaac Ken Yeboah takes over as Director-General of Administration.
DCOP Nana Asomah Hinneh is moving to HRD whilst DCOP George Alex Mensah is moving to Operations.
DCOP Mr Fred Adu-Anin is the new DG for PID whilst DCOP George Tuffuor takes over as DG for Finance.
ACOP Mr Owusu Donyina is now Second-in-command (2/IC)DG for Finance, DCOP Patrick Atampugre as DG, National Protection Directorate and DCOP Samuel Monney as DG Technical.
