International Relations Analyst Dr. Vladimir Antwi-Danso has condemned the major political parties whose communicators use foul languages, especially those who threatened to kill judges on Montie FM recently.
According to him, if measures are not taken to immediately address the wave of threats, others will jump on it.
Speaking to Starr News on the sideline of a Webster University, Ghana Public lecture, Dr Antwi-Danso expressed shock at the posture of the political parties.
“I was expecting the NDC to actually come out condemning them and use their own mechanism to set the trail for some kind of punishment.”
He added: “I am surprised I have not heard anything and as I am saying if we let it go it becomes a standard by which everybody will measure themselves.”
The international relations expert added that the inability of the party to rebuke its own communicators on the matter signifies a breakdown of political parties’ internal democracy.
“Internal democracy is lost in any of our political parties and if you watch our political terrain is one of indiscipline.
“We are gradually losing faith in our institutions and that is bad. When you lose faith in your institutions then democracy will be hiccupping badly because these are the pivots of democracy,” Dr. Antwi-Danso noted.
