Ghana Youth Arise for peace in collaboration with Kasoa Journalists on staurday 1st July, 2024 organized a peace walk in the Awutu Senya East constituency to promote peace during and after election 2024.
The two major political party’s namely, The National Democratic Congress (NDC) and New Patriotic Party (NPP), including local council of churches joined the walk to promote peace and to tell the world that Kasoa is peaceful, they edged Businessmen and women to get properly informed about Kasoa and the entire constituency, as they will get to know that it is a right destination for business.
The member of parliament who also doubles up as Minister of fisheries and aquaculture, Hon. Mavis Hawa Koomson spoke about the bad name kasoa has been given in the pass years and pleaded with all Ghanaians, individuals, institutions and businessmen to disregard all the bad reportage about Kasoa, she stressed that all these incidents happened within Communities close and the constituencies that share boundaries with the municipal but reporters just use Kasoa because of its popularity.
The Municipal chief Executive, Hon. Anita Obo Love speaking with SeedGTV news indicated that the recent soldier killing and land guard brouhaha happened at Gomoa East but unfortunately Kasoa was caught in the middle. She then acknowledged the market women for always striving to maintain cleanliness in their place of business, even though they can do better.
In addition, the local council of churches and organizers call on Citizens of Kasoa to continue to maintain the peace and harmonious environment in the municipal.
Finally the constituency organizer of NDC, Daniel Takyi Mensah advised individuals to exercise their right to vote in the 2024 general elections as this was once way of contributing to proper National development.
